Christian Friends of Korea (CFK) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation involved in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in North Korea through humanitarian, religious and educational projects and exchanges.  Our current work is primarily humanitarian in nature (with a strong medical emphasis), however, we also provide other assistance from time to time as requested.                                                                                 

CFK provides aid to 30 plus tuberculosis (TB), hepatitis, and pediatric care centers scattered throughout North and South Hwanghae Provinces, Kaesong, and Pyongyang. CFK sends teams of highly skilled volunteers into North Korea usually four times a year with specific sets of goals in mind – confirming activities and technical work.

CFK is seeking a full-time employee who has excellent written and verbal skills, a professional manner, cross-cultural sensitivity, personal initiative and who is attentive to detail. Candidate should have good computer keyboarding and application skills, media, social media and communications skills, including fluency in MS Word and familiarity with Squarespace, Access, PowerPoint and Excel. Applicants with experience using Photoshop and InDesign are required.

Candidate may on occasion be the only person in the office.  Candidate should have strong problems solving skills, and be able to work independently.

Duties to include:  Website, Facebook, Twitter, monthly e-mailings and on-line donation site management; video editing; volunteer management and processing of volunteer contributions; layout of newsletters and other written communication pieces; photo management including downloading and organizing photos, ordering and processing gift photos, printing thumbnails and producing photo reports, etc.;  answering phones, photocopying, filing, data entry, internet research, assisting with mailings, assisting with correspondence, and other projects as may be assigned from time to time.

Benefits include: 10 paid holidays per year along with vacation and sick leave. After 1 year of service additional benefits include a medical reimbursement account (to be used to cover eligible medical expenses as defined by IRS rules), and retirement contributions.

Normal office hours are 8am-5pm.  There is some flexibility. Hourly wage to be determined based on skills and experience.
